 The Ruby Ports
Vintage 1997
It's a dense wine that is almost black with purple nuances. At first, it smells like blueberries and wild cherries. Then, when left to the air the taste of dark-berries get to be more present. In mouth, it's a heavily concentrated wine and the fruit taste really explodes (blackcurrent, dark cherry). The tannins are silky, the wine is powerful and well balanced. It remains in mouth for a long time and it's characterized by a taste of dark chocolate mixed with dark-berries.
Ideal conditions to taste it
- Temperature : ± 18°
- Suggestions: Blue cheese such as Rocquefort, chocolate's dessert.
